Basic Animation In Photoshop

Step 1

In this tutorial we are gonna show you how to do a basic animation with photoshop. Create a new project size 800 x 600 px with a white background

Step 2
With the Line Tool [U] (set the weight to 15px) draw 2 line , one diagonal on the top left and one horizontal in the center like this

Step 3
Select the Ellipse Tool [U] and while holding down Shift draw 2 circles on on the top of the diagonal line (rename it ball1) and one in the mid-left of the horizontal line (rename it ball2) like this.

Step 4

Now we are ready for the animation part. Go to Window > Animation and active the animation panel and a new panel will appear called Animation(Frames).

Step 5

Duplicate the first frame ( for duplicate the frame use this button on the bottom of the Animation panel).Select the second frame and move the ball1 over the blue ball like this.

Step 6

The cool thing about photoshop is that you do not have to draw every frame but just the Key Frames like we did and photoshop will make all the intermediate frames. So click on the Tween Button and use these settings.
Step 7

Then go to File > Save for Web & Devices [Alt + Shift + Ctrl +S] and save the animation as a gif. You should have something like this now.[Click on the image]

I suggest you to add more key frames like we did [click on the image]

I hope you have learned something form this tutorial.
